June 30, 2010—the final stop in my three-part Pingxi railway trip was Jingtong Old Street.

As soon as I arrived, I discovered that the famous Prince Guesthouse was under renovation and would not reopen until September 2011 @.@'"

Well...since I was already here, I might as well make the most of it~~

I wandered from Jingtong Station into the old street, taking my time and photographing the scenes along the way.

One of the buildings was called the Hokkaido Guesthouse at the time, though it looked as if nobody usually stayed there. Apparently, anyone wanting a room had to call ahead??

Another building had been turned into a garden restaurant. According to the information posted on its wall, it had appeared on several food programs and had also served as a location for some well-known commercials.

I was all by myself today, so I decided not to go in...next time I would bring the whole family ^.^

A view outside the garden restaurant in Jingtong
Traveling alone, I stayed outside the restaurant for a look.

I quietly took two photos from outside the wall ^.^

The fenced-off area in the middle was the Prince Guesthouse—the place I would not get to see today ~.~

Oh well...I would just treat it as a reason to come back another time ^.^
