On the way home from our two-day trip to Sun Moon Lake, we chose Chocolate Cloud Manor in Dahu, Miaoli, as our midway rest stop.

We had eaten far too much at Del Lago that morning, so the plan was to drive straight to the manor and have a snack with afternoon tea. It sounded perfectly timed…

Instead, Papago led us off the freeway at Miaoli and around a long stretch of road. By the time we arrived, everyone was practically faint with hunger.

The meal and smoked-chicken sandwich at Chocolate Cloud Manor — We had pictured afternoon tea, but a smoked-chicken sandwich had to rescue us from hunger.

Even worse, there were no proper meals to order. A smoked-chicken sandwich was about the only thing that could loosely be called hot food. @.@'" My mood took an immediate nosedive ~.~

At least getting something into our stomachs brought back a little energy.
